On Steam there is a game called RoboBlitz and i guess its one of the first games to use the new Unreal engine it was only 14 bucks so i grabbed it and heres some screens of the new editor:

So tell us, what have you started to build for 2K7? I'm sure you can transfer the files some how? Also do the file types transfer from 2K4?

The file directory structure is completly different, when i tried to copy and paste a simple cube brush from 2k4's Ed to the new one it crashed. Haven't had much time to mess with it, been working on the Christmas map when i get the time.

You have to keep in mind though that this is a modified version of the engine that the final UT2007 will be using , but from what i've been reading thay are saying that UT2007 it is supposed to be backwards compatabile.
